We wish you ...

A MERRY CHRISTMAS !!! and a Happy New You ! (that is Emma's version !!!)

Brief updates -
Tim is at work today so we aren't doing any celebrating, but we are doing some house cleaning and the kids are thrilled - ok maybe not, but I like to think they are.

We had an ultrasound on 12/9 to check on the pirate since my doctor could not locate a heartbeat at our 12/6 appointment - no panicking - everything was fine. It was neat since the three little girls got to come and see the baby. I have to get my fasting blood sugar done, but have been putting it off. (I know I shouldn't but...) Our next appointment is 12/29. The morning sickness has passed, thankfully, and I am starting to regain my energy (the kids are thrilled about that since it means the laundry will get done faster!) We won't find out the sex of the baby until February so we are still bickering about names - although we agree on a boy's name - Timothy Aidan Paul Cunningham (Timothy is my concession to Tim since he insists this is family tradition ??? Family - help me with this one ??) I have always loved Aidan for a boys name, and it will probably be what the baby is called. Paul is a memorial to 2 important people. My Uncle Paul passed away at a young age and his only child, Destiny, passed before him. And of course, Paul is Sean's middle name - so we get a two for one.

A girl name ( a more likely choice with our current trend!) is up in the air ... Tim likes Molly ... I like Miranda. Go figure.

Happy Holidays - we love you all.

Emma Leigh said ...

" What dat in you pants Daddy?"

I don't think that this statement requires any explanation. It had me laughing hysterically !! What is funny is that none of the other kids has ever made this "discovery".

Outside Fun

We bought this outside play/slide contraption for the girls from my neighbor's garage sale. After a bit of fixing up - it was good. They love to play outside on the slides and climbing up and down is sure to result in a broken arm for someone soon. As much fun as the plaything is a tall pot -- will do fine too.

Isn't this the coolest looking picture ?? You can do really neat things to your photos without changing the original if you use photobucket.

June 23, 2009

I saw the doctor yesterday and got to see the little peanut on the ultrasound. We are not as far along as we thought (only 7 weeks not 9), but the baby is where it is supposed to be and everything looks ok.  They are treating this baby has high risk and we will be having a level 2 ultrasound at Winnie Palmer Hospital (children's hopsital) in late January.

For those of you that don't know, Riley has been complaining of headaches for some time now. When they finally started waking her at night - I took her to  the doctor - we were never sure if her head actually hurt or not since many times she would tell us after being told to do something. We went through an MRI and an echocardiogram. The MRI revealed nothing unusual, but the echo showed she has an innocent heart murmur (no biggie) and her aorta is more narrow then it should be. The doctor said that if the aorta grows with her then there is nothing to worry about but if it does not then we will have to consider other options. We won't know anything until sometime next year when we have another echo, so I put it out of my mind.

I learned from the OB that Riley's heart is considered a congenital defect so, they want to take a closer look at this baby to make sure that development is normal.  I feel good overall - just regular nausea and fatigue.

Halloween Fun

We enjoyed a Harvest Festival instead of trick or treat this Halloween. Here are some photos of the fun.

The girls had their faces painted and got some funny balloon animals.

Emma had a great time picking up things that other kids dropped. Every abandoned balloon was left for her !

Tara  made crafts. She loves to make things.

Rori's teddy bear is a door prize that she won.

Guess what???

I don't have any pics to upload since I am writing this from the comfort of my office chair and my internet at home is down. I thought I should make the announcement here in case "teleMom" did not make it to everyone. God does indeed have a sense of humor, or perhaps His plan is just better then mine =-). Tim & I had decided that we loved our little (BIG) family and he had gone to his primary care physician for a referral for a vasectomy. I have not been feeling great and in my gut I knew there was a bigger reason for it .... have you guessed yet??? If this speech hasn't let the cat out of the bag .. the little pic on the side of the screen should have given all the details. Yep, another one. This really is like starting over - I got rid of the crib, car seat and every other little baby thing. Bummer. Maybe this time we will have a boy. Mic, Tara and Rori understand but Emmy and Riley are kind of oblivious to the whole thing.

I'll keep you posted.

We came ..... We tried ....

Some of you know that Mic has been singing for most of her life and has taken voice, piano and strings (she plays the violin). I have often encouraged her to sing in church, but she refuses to do so, saying she can't sing in front of people (who am I, chopped liver???)

She decided to audition for a youth program at our local playhouse - she had to sing and dance in front of a crowd. I was shocked that she wanted to do it. There were about 70 kids that auditioned and Mic was #60. Here are a couple of photos and if you squint you may actually see her in the photo....

Some photos from home

I'm not sure why, but she is always so adorable when she is sleeping.

Ok, so she is cute when she is awake too !! Daddy ? Are you there ?

Rori is going to VPK at Rockledge Christian School. She was a little disappointed to find out that she had to wear a uniform but she likes her class. She is still not sure about daycare, but hopefully she will come around soon.

Play Time

We went to Rori's friend's house to play and the girls had a ton of fun playing dress up.

Tara took her turn playing dress up. She and Mic had to improvise.

Emma Leigh threw a tea party and had to wear her shades.  Finally, Riley did what she normally does ... played all by herself.

Cancel Everything

Everything has been cancelled around here thanks to Tropical FLOOD Fay.   The girls are getting a do-over for the whole first week of school.  The attended on Monday and the rest of the week was cancelled.  Can you imagine how CRAZY the girls are having been stuck in the house for the last 3 days !  They got about 30 minutes yesterday to run in and out of the light rain and about 30 minutes today. The TV needs a break.  Here are a couple photos of the mosquito breeding pools in my backyard.

Entenmann's ... YUMMY

The local "day old" bread store is an Entenmann's Outlet. Mic and I ran over and grabbed some donuts, loaf cakes and bread. I made the mistake of leaving a chocolate chip loaf cake on the counter and turning my back.

Emma Leigh opened the box (and left it on the counter) and made off with the cake. We found her in her bedroom sneaking a little taste.

When she turned around and saw us she said, "MMMM Yummy !"

Friday the 15th

Friday 8/15 was the first day that the girls went to the babysitter while Tim and I worked. They all got to go since we did not start school until Monday.

Usually Emma Leigh throws a huge fit and screams at Miss Patty. This after Patty has been watching them all summer and the child still makes a scene. Things went pretty good since Mic was there and when I picked them up they were all filthy. Evidence of a lot of outside fun.

The girls had a great time and fell asleep on the way home.

I got a ....

DAY JOB ... I am pretty sure that this was just a fluke but it is a great thing. I interviewed for and landed a position in Career Development at the Sheriff's Office. After 10 years in dispatch, I finally have a day job.

No weekends. No holidays. No hurricanes.

I can't tell you how wonderful this is for the family. I have a great boss that is flexible with my hours and I am able to do things with and for the girls that I have not been able to do before. I am looking forward to helping with homework this year, being home for dinner, bath and bedtime and living a normal life. It will be better since Tim still works and odd schedule and will be subject to recall in emergencies.

This will take a tiny bit of getting used to but all in all - it is going to be GREAT.

Catching up !

Things have been absolutely hectic and almost unbearable. We were planning on staying for another year at our rental house in Titusville, but the owner decided that they wanted to move back in. So naturally, that meant that we had to move out. The search for some place to live took us near and far and far and well, every where really.

We discussed the pros and cons of each house we looked at (3 total) and the areas that they were located in ... we discussed how awful moving was until we finally had to chuck things in boxes. I worried until I ached and Tim just kept insisting it would all work out the way "it is supposed to"! (He worried too, but does a great job of disguising it.)

We had a ton of circumstances to deal with and in the end everything worked out ... (you guessed it) ... the way it was supposed to

We are still unpacking and hoping to find all of the kids soon before school starts. I mean, the kids' things... =-)

Mic and Tara will be going to Anderson Elementary and because there is no VPK - Rori will be attending Rockledge Christian. She insists that she will miss me when she is at school and I told her she will have too much fun to miss mommy.

I would love to share some photos but Tim dropped the camera (twice) and it has gone on strike.

Awards Ceremony

Here is Micaela showing off her REACH award. She participated in a citizenship program and completed the requirements for every quarter.

If you look past that lady's head - you can see Mic with her A/B Honor roll award. She missed straight As for the year by 1 B that she got in Science and she missed perfect attendance by 1 day.

She received several awards for academics and she was chosen to serve as a member of the school patrol ... AKA hall monitor.

This is the whole group of next year's hall monitor ... NO running !!

New Format

Ok - so I thought it was more compelling to put Tim's picture and information since he is the minority in this clan and I am going to be transitioning from smugmug to this format because I like the running commentary. I will be telling as many stories from his point of view as I can since they seem to come out soooo very funny.

Welcome ..and enjoy.
