I saw the doctor yesterday and got to see the little peanut on the ultrasound. We are not as far along as we thought (only 7 weeks not 9), but the baby is where it is supposed to be and everything looks ok. They are treating this baby has high risk and we will be having a level 2 ultrasound at Winnie Palmer Hospital (children's hopsital) in late January.
For those of you that don't know, Riley has been complaining of headaches for some time now. When they finally started waking her at night - I took her to the doctor - we were never sure if her head actually hurt or not since many times she would tell us after being told to do something. We went through an MRI and an echocardiogram. The MRI revealed nothing unusual, but the echo showed she has an innocent heart murmur (no biggie) and her aorta is more narrow then it should be. The doctor said that if the aorta grows with her then there is nothing to worry about but if it does not then we will have to consider other options. We won't know anything until sometime next year when we have another echo, so I put it out of my mind.
I learned from the OB that Riley's heart is considered a congenital defect so, they want to take a closer look at this baby to make sure that development is normal. I feel good overall - just regular nausea and fatigue.
